Make anything taste good

A good dip or sauce can make anything taste good. Hummus is full of plant-based protein.

 

Once you make hummus you can flavour it anyway you like. It's brilliant to use as a dip or smother on a sandwich or spread on a plate to use as the base for a dish.

 

Hummus is cheap to make and a real people pleaser making it perfect for parties.

Ingredients

400g tin of chickpeas

1 garlic clove chopped

6 sundried tomatoes

1 heaped tablespoon of tahini

1tbsp fresh sage/ rosemary/ thyme

1tsp tomato puree

1tsp smoked paprika

80ml olive oil

40ml water

Sea salt 

Cracked black pepper

Sesame seeds (optional)

Directions

  1. Rinse and drain the chickpeas and add them to a food processor. Also add garlic, 5 sundried tomatoes, tahini, herbs, tomato puree and smoked paprika.

  2. Turn on the food processor once combined slowly pour in the oil and then the water.

  3. Season with sea salt and cracked black pepper. Transfer to a bowl and store in the fridge.

  4. To serve drizzle with olive oil and top with herbs, sesame seeds and the remaining sundried tomato chopped.
